Great news for the Latanich Campaign running for Congress in the AR-01 District!  Press release as follows just in:

The Campaign for Gary Latanich running in the 1st Congressional District in Arkansas is proud to announce that the Progressive Push PAC has endorsed Gary for US Congress. Progressive Push is an independent national organization dedicated to recruiting, organizing, training and mobilizing grassroots activists to elect progressive candidates to all levels of public office. Gary is proud of this endorsement because it echos his support for our working families, women, seniors, labor unions, while still placing the common good over the will of special interests.

This is great news for the Latanich Campaign.  On another note, this blogger must take the time to accentuate a conversation I had with Gary Latanich the first part of April.  I was moving around in a political event being held in Hot Springs National Park when I came upon Gary and his wife Rosemary.  Carried on a clipboard were the ERA Congressional Pledge from the Facebook group, Arkansas for the Immediate Passage of the ERA.  Gary was the only Democratic candidate for office that I, personally, didn’t have to even spend more the mere seconds of time trying to convince him to sign The Pledge!  The grin on his face as he enthusiastically signed the form (perhaps I could have said he “raced to sign it”) was such a pleasure to encounter.  Latanich was right on spot!  We need more Democrats like Gary running for Congress (and even state office).  Sigh…..  if only I lived in AR-01!  (I am still hoping that the AR-04 Democratic congressional candidates would finish talking to “whomever” their decision makers are about whether they will do what is right for women, like Gary Latanich.  What’s to think about?)  Many personal thanks from this blogger to Mr. Latanich!  It was great meeting a candidate like you with refreshing, progressive ideas that doesn’t hesitate a second (or weeks, or decades) to decide if women should be treated equally under the Constitution!
