So I was talking to a friend of mine earlier who just moved to Arkansas. Apparently, she had been really excited when she got a phone call for a phone town hall with Senator Mark Pryor, being a newbie to the state and all and still trying to put her finger on all things political. Well, judging from what she said about it, I would have given my left arm to be in on this conversation!
Apparently, this phone town hall was almost nothing but older women ripping Pryor a new one. These ladies could put me to shame the way my friend described it, as they told Pryor that the never wanted to see him vote against a jobs bill again, informed him that the President had enough problems without him piling on, and one of them even said that he was nothing like his father. Pryor, for his part, offered up the excuse that he voted against the bill because it couldn’t pass. Yeah, let that stupid excuse sink in for a minute. Then he started talking up his jobs plan and one of these ladies came back with “quit trying to reinvent the wheel.” God I wish I’d been in on this!
The last thing my friend said was that Pryor had started off saying he looked forward to answering questions and “then he never did.” Yeah, Pryor the Lesser is in big trouble alright.
