So, Representative Nate Bell decided to quote from Mein Kampf, apparently trying to explain why having a government working in the best interests of children is a bad thing…
Well, like most Hitler comparisons, it didn’t exactly go over well. But what was really funny was what ensued, as Representative Bell got taken to the mat by a kid who doesn’t even seem to be out of high school yet.
At one point in the conversation, Bell comes out for such radical stuff as not regulating the temperature restaurants cook hamburger meet at (worm burger anyone?), not regulating the ownership of monkeys (anyone remember that vicious chimp attack in Florida I think it was a few years back?) and, get this, not prohibiting kids from using cell phones in school…This man is a grade A nut. Besides that, he just made it easy for us-all the DPA has to do now is take that quote, pop it on a mailer, and send it to every registered voter in the district, and if the new team there is worth its salt they’ll file this one away and do just that come next year.
That all said, watching this kid, Cody, own this guy is a think of beauty…the more I see, the more convinced I am that the kid’s are alright!
Oh and a little bonus, apparently that’s a bogus quote from Mein Kampf!
