Finally!:

Former U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay — once one of the most powerful and feared Republicans in Congress — was convicted Wednesday on charges he illegally funneled corporate money to Texas candidates in 2002.

Jurors deliberated for 19 hours before returning guilty verdicts against DeLay on charges of money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering. He faces up to life in prison on the money laundering charge.

Remember, this is the bug man that created the Republican culture of corruption in the first place.  It unraveled in a big way in 2006, but it’s still out there and set to come back with a vengeance.  Corporate lobbyists are no doubt rubbing their hands with glee over the results of the 2010 elections in so many ways, but this should serve as a warning to them.  The wheels of justice truly do grind slowly, but this is proof that they do still grind.

Know who else might ought to watch out?  Arkansas’s own unindicted criminal and serial liar Tim Griffin.  Not saying he’s going to be indicted but hey, we had to wait years to see this scumbag go down AND put up with watching him on Dancing With The Stars.  So watch out Timmy.  Karma’s a bitch.
