Call this news from nowhere.

Nearly half of America — including nearly two-thirds of Republicans and 53 percent of independents — admires political leaders who refuse to compromise. This is further evidence that the current political atmosphere is not merely contentious, but hostile to any hope of negotiated settlements to the many political and policy differences that define the current landscape.

The only people that want compromise?  Democrats.

Give up on compromise.  Seriously, if you still think Republicans are ever going to compromise on anything you are totally naive.  It’s nice, flowery, feel good language but in the end it really is just a fantasy.  And really, this is just more proof that Democrats have wasted time and slit their own wrists trying to be bipartisan.  When you have a super majority, don’t waste time trying to be nice to the other side, especially when they have nothing to lose.  Instead, run them over to get your agenda passed and then reap the political rewards of getting results.
