This was from the comments on Arkansas Blog:
This lady is tougher than most of the men in Arkansas’s government. While the tea partiers, moveon.org, and other special interest groups have spent millions pressuring her to vote one way or another on health care, she didn’t let it bother her. She did the honorable thing and voted to allow debate, then was an active player in the gang of 10 that created the compromise that will be our new health reform. She’s powerful. She’s right. And we are darn lucky to have her representing us.
Now sure, it’s one person’s opinion, perhaps even a Lincoln staffer’s, so take it for what all that’s worth. But it does show the strategy of Lincoln and her supporters, highlight the starting of the debate and the “compromise”; pretend the killing of the public option at the behest of the insurance industry and the kick in the teeth to millions of poor and sick and Arkansans didn’t happen. Oh and nevermind that this tough woman who didn’t let things bother her is A) bought and paid for by corporate interests and B) has been running scared for over a year now. So let’ call this nonsense out on the carpet here and now and kill it while it’s in the cradle-Blanche Lincoln worked to kill the public option and has turned her back on Arkansans time and time again in favor of corporate interests. Don’t ever let anyone get away with saying different.
